City Manager Recognition – Jennifer Ramirez and Gerardo “Jerry” Vedia – #CityChampion

City Manager Margie C. Rose had plenty to brag about at this week’s City Council Meeting, as she recognized two outstanding employees.

Jennifer Ramirez
The Engineering Department’s Contracts/Funds Administrator Jennifer Ramirez became the latest employee to be recognized as a Corpus Christi Under 40 (CCU40) honoree. Ramirez, a five year employee, works on design and construction contracts for the water and wastewater Capital Improvement Program. She is also a member of the Junior League, Windsor Park Elementary PTA, and the Padre Soccer Club. She and her husband have three children. CCU40 is sponsored by the Young Business Professionals of the Coastal Bend.
Gerardo “Jerry” Vedia
The 2016 City Employee of the Year was officially introduced to the City Council and public during Tuesday’s meeting. Building and Grounds Custodian Gerardo “Jerry” Vedia received the honor last December after being voted by his peers. The 20 year employee was nominated by Facilities and Property Management Department Director Edgar Leonard for his attention to detail, great attitude and continued focus on customer service.
Congratulations, Jennifer and Jerry!
