The Corpus Christi Firefighters C.A.R.E. (Cancer Awareness and Relief Efforts), Inc. is kicking off its “2014” C.A.R.E. campaign at 10:00 A.M. this Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Corpus Christi Professional Fire Fighters Association hall located at 6014 Ayers (next to MIRAS).
The C.C. Firefighters C.A.R.E. will be making a special check presentation to the “Triumph Over Kid Cancer Foundation”. The C.A.R.E. ‘Pink’ Fire Truck will also be present and there will be light refreshments after the “Press Conference”. C.A.R.E. is selling Cancer Awareness T-Shirts to raise money for local organizations and firefighters fighting cancer.
Since 2009, C.A.R.E. has donated over $150,000 dollars to the American Cancer Society, Driscoll Children’s Hospital, First Friday and several local firefighters and their families. The general public is encouraged to purchase their C.A.R.E. shirts starting this week. C.A.R.E. T-Shirts are selling for $12.00 each – sizes Small through X-Large and $15.00 for the XX-Large through XXXX- Large sizes. They may be purchased at the C.A.R.E. office located at 6014 Ayers St. from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
