CORPUS CHRISTI – Corpus Christi is the only Texas city to have happy residents, according to the U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research.
The study, Unhappy Cities, ranks the “Sparkling City by the Sea” as the seventh happiest city based on data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other data, including age, income, race and sex.
Other happy cities include: Nashville, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and six cities in Louisiana including Shreveport-Bossier City, Houma and the No. 1 happiest city Lafayette.
The unhappiest residents live in the northeast, according to the study. Unhappy cities include: Erie, Pennsylvania, Jersey City, N.J. and the No. 1 unhappiest is New York City.
