Danni Alcantara – Employee of the 1st Quarter – 2014

Danni 1stCongratulations to Danni Alcantara for being selected as the City of Corpus Christi Employee of the 1st Quarter for September 2013 – November 2013

Danni Alcantara is the Kennel Master for Animal Care Services. During the Rachael Ray 100K Challenge, Danni worked her regular schedule, and also volunteered her own time to assist PAAC with adoptions in the evenings and weekends. She sacrificed family time to give her coworkers and helpless animals her 110%.

Danni was the heart and soul of the Rachael Ray Challenge and served as the cheerleader to keep both staff and volunteers uplifted. She reached out by networking and saved as many animals as she could find. Her upbeat attitude inspired the fatigued, overburdened staff and volunteers. Her initiative to take the ball and run with it was unmatched. She was always ahead of the game and forward thinking.

Danni often would take the initiative to contact local rescues, and volunteers for special projects during the adoption events in order to ease the stress of staff. Her thoughtfulness, initiative, clear communication, volunteerism, customer service and positive attitude are what led our team to coming in 5th in the nation during the contest.
