If you’re looking for ways to conserve water around the house, the City of Corpus Christi can help. Residential Water Saver Kits are available free to the public.
The free supplies include aerators for both the kitchen and bath, much like the ones the City is currently installing in 65 of its facilities, which reduce flow from showers and faucets. The kit also comes with Teflon tape and a dye tab toilet leak detector packet. Free water saving shower heads and shower timers are also available separately.
The supplies are available on a first come, first serve basis and must be reserved by contacting the Water Hotline at (361) 826-1600. Once a kit is reserved, it can be picked up at the Water Utilities Building, located at 2726 Holly Road across from Animal Care Services, or in the Environmental & Strategic Initiatives department on the first floor at City Hall, 1201 Leopard Street.
