Citizens for Educational Excellence is hosting a city-wide event to help you get enrolled in college for the Spring semester. This event is focused on increasing postsecondary attainment in the region and aligns strategically with the 60×30 goals as well as the partnership with the Lumina Foundation as a Talent Hub City.
This event will have education partners on hand for the event to do academic advising, registration, and financial aid applications, as well as degree plan reviews and transcript reviews. The partners will be able to discuss undergraduate, graduate, reverse transfer, continuing education, and technical programs for all who are interested.

Registration will begin at 5:00 PM
Doors open at 5:30 PM
Event will end at 9:00 PM
Who should attend?
This event is not just for people who have been to college before, but also first-time students and non-traditional adult learners. Anyone in our community who might be interested in enrolling in college credit and/or continuing education classes should attend.
Attendees can pre-register for the event by following the link on the flyer below. If they are pre-registered they will be entered for a $100 gift card drawing on the day of the event but must be present to win.
What should attendees bring?
Those attending the event are welcome to come empty handed and receive information from our local education partners, but if they are looking to complete the registration process on site then they should be prepared with the following:
– Identification (TX ID or DL)
– College Transcripts (if applicable; unofficial or official)
– Apply Texas user name and password (if applicable)
– FAFSA ID number (if applicable)
– TSI scores (if applicable)
