For the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2014, Sandra was the Environmental and Strategic Initiatives employee that set the standard for innovation, exceptional customer service, hard work and positive attitude. Sandra joined the City of Corpus Christi as part of the Engineering Services team as a Contract Executive Assis- tant in 2010 for 10 months and was hired as a full time employee at Engineering in 2011. She transferred to Environmental Services, now the Office of Environmental and Strategic Initiatives in 2013. Additionally she served in a temporary assignment as Executive Assistant to the ACM from July 11 through September 2013.
Sandra has an enthusiastic “how can I help you” attitude, and a keen eye for detail that kept our office moving on schedule in a well-organized manner. Her exemplary work ethic, professionalism, and first rate customer service have helped the department’s transition under the reorganization of the Planning and Environmental Services department into Environmental and Strategic Initiatives. She is always willing to as- sist in any capacity and learn what is needed to do the job.
Sandra’s assistance in developing innovative ideas was key to the successful development of the newly formed and reorganized department business plan, budget, and mission. She continually assists with improving standard departmental practices and has provided invaluable input in the Fiscal Year 2015 Capital Improvement Program.
